Interscholastic Athletics and School Clubs/Activities
Review District Athletics and Activities Handbook
Vision and Mission
To be the model program for developing quality people and a championship culture through excellence in preparation and performance in all areas of the school environment.
Core Values and Beliefs
It is our priority to provide daily opportunities for our students to learn valuable life lessons through participation in our athletics and activities programs. Our participants are taught the value of respect for self and others, the importance of making a commitment to something larger than themselves, and the power of self-discipline and hard work.
Message to our Participants
After each event we want our opponents, their administration, the officials, the spectators, the community, and the media to recognize how hard we worked and the positive way we conduct ourselves in our event. Entering the performance environment, during the course of the event and as we leave, we are respectful of the sport or activity, of the opposing team and the facility we are visiting. Demonstrating sportsmanship and citizenship at the highest level is of the utmost importance. It is a privilege to participate in athletics and activities and we understand that we are given an amazing opportunity to represent our school, district and community in a positive way.
Message to our Families, Spectators, and Community
Thompson Valley High School, as a member of the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) is committed to providing a positive environment for students, coaches, sponsors, and spectators. Athletics and activities are a part of the educational experience that emphasizes respect, hard work, sportsmanship, and good citizenship. When you are supporting Thompson Valley Athletics and Activities this season, please keep in mind that positive comments, encouragement, and cheering for your team are great ways to show support. Negative comments, taunting, berating, and booing the opponents and/or officials is not appropriate and undermines the values we seek to instill in our participants. The pressure to win or perform is not placed above education, character development, academic, social, emotional, physical, and ethical well-being of the student-athlete and performer.
